In this section, you can configure an SMTP server that can be used for delivering emails for Motion services like reset password and scheduled reports.
The following are list of parameters required to set up an SMTP account:
- Name: a name you want to use to identify the SMTP account, like Gmail or Yahoo
Email address: specify the origin email address of the messages (from)
- Service: you can select one of the available default services to simplify the SMTP server configuration (i.e. Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, Outlook 365 or Custom)
- Host: SMTP server address
- Username: SMTP username
- Password: SMTP password
- Port: SMTP port. Usually port 25 is the default SMTP port but you can also use port 587 or 465
- Secure: enable to make your connection more secure
- Description: optional description of the SMTP account
Save the configuration and use 
button to verify your account configuration.
For Gmail service, you must enable "Access for less secure apps" in your email account. To do this:
- Go to the "Less secure apps" section in My Account.
- Enable the feature
For Yahoo service, you must enable "Allow Apps that use less Secure sign in" in your email account. To do this:
- Go to "Your Account Security Settings" in My Account
- Enable the feature
