Overview

In the Sounds section, you can upload and manage audio files that can be used within the entire XCALLY system, for example, in the Cally Square IVR projects or in the queues for periodic announcements.

Sounds section

This page describes the Sounds configuration on the New Client Experience, available from version 3.46.0. We recommend using the New Experience web interface to take full advantage of the latest features.

You can access the Sounds section from the Tools menu in the main navigation panel.

When you enter the Sounds section you find the list of the uploaded audio files.

Furthermore, you can:

  1. Play button: Playback an existing sound

  2. Quick Actions button (click on the three dots button (⋮) next to the sound):

    1. Download the sound

    2. Replace the sound with a new one. This command is very useful because the new sound will be automatically updated within all the XCALLY section where it is used.

    3. Edit the sound changing the name of the Sound (by default it is the name of the audio file you uploaded) and the description

    4. Delete a sound

Upload a new Sound

To add a new Sound:

  1. Click on the upload button located at the bottom-right corner of the interface, under Tools → Sounds

  1. Upload or drag and drop an audio file into the box area and when completed

  2. Click Finish.

As shown on the modal, the audio file’s maximum size is 15 MB and the format must be one of the following: MP3, WAV, GSM.

Once uploaded, the new Sound is shown in the Sounds List. 

You cannot upload a file with a name that already exists. In such cases, a warning message will notify you of the conflict.
