V3 Contact Item Types

What’s about

Contact Item Types are used to define the categories of the additional phones associated to the Contact and set their priority for the outbound calls

Let's understand how Contact Item Types work.

It is possible to associate additional phones to a Contact, besides the primary phone (as you can see in the image below):

Additional phones can be categorized through the Contact Item Type, which is useful for describing and identifying them, thanks to different colours.

Moreover, you can assign a priority for each Contact Item Type: the priority is used for scheduling the outbound calls. The outbound dialer (Motion Bull) calls the primary phone first and then the additional phones ordered by Contact Item Type with higher priority.

How to use the Contact Item Type

Create the Contact Item Type

  1. Associate the Contact Item Type to the additional phones when you:

    1. Create/Edit a new Contact with the Admin/User profile

    2. Create/Edit a new Contact with the Agent profile

  2. Use it to:

    1. Easily identify which additional phone to call first during preview outbound campaign by the Contact Item Type.

    2. Correctly schedule calls within outbound campaign.

Create a new Contact Item Type

From the Contact Item Type section in the Admin tools section,  click on  the icon to create a New Contact Item Type:

  • Name: Define a name

  • Order by: Set the priority to assign to the additional phone number associated with this Contact Item Type. Consider that 1 is the maximum priority, 2 means a lower priority than 1. For example, (after calling the primary phone) Motion Bull will call the additional phone associated with the Contact Item Type with order 1 and then the additional phone associated with the Contact Item Type with order 2 (then order 3 and so on).

  • You can have the same Order by value for more than one contact item type. For the same Order by value, the priority will set by Name value.

  • RGB Background colour: Choose which colour to use to highlight the additional number associated with this Contact Item Type.

Edit/ Delete the Contact Item Type

From the three dots iconat the end of the Contact Item Type row, it is possible to:

  • Edit it

  • Delete it
