Gmail 2FA
Overview
XCALLY provides the option to enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for Google Gmail accounts, enhancing account protection and access security.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) — also known as two-step verification or dual-factor authentication — is a security process that requires users to verify their identity using two distinct authentication factors.
While traditional Single-Factor Authentication (SFA) relies only on a password, 2FA adds a second verification layer. This greatly reduces the risk of unauthorized access, even if a user’s password has been compromised.
By requiring an additional verification step (for example, a security token or app-based approval), 2FA significantly increases the security of both user credentials and the resources those users can access.
In summary, 2FA:
Strengthens login security for Gmail integrations.
Reduces the risk of unauthorized account access.
Ensures compliance with best practices for data protection.
