2FA - Two Factor Authentication Login

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security system that requires two separate, distinct forms of identification in order to access WITIOP.

The first factor is a password and the second includes a text with a code sent to your authenticator app.


How to set up

 

  • Login to WITIOP and from the User Menu, click on the Profile:

Only the user can enable this feature from his own interface.

 

  • Click on Enable two factor authentication

  • Follow the instruction shown from WITIOP:

 

  • It is possible to enable 2FA via Authenticator App

  • A code is generated and sent via auth app

  • Enter the code in the form in the Verify code field

  • 2FA is enabled

Login with 2FA

 

  • Enter your credentials in the login form

  • Enter the OTP (one time password) shown by the auth app

  • Click on Verify Code

Disable 2FA

To disable the two-factor authentication:

  • Login to WITIOP and from the User Menu, click on the Profile:

  • Click on Disable two factor authentication:

  • Enter the OTP (one time password) shown by the auth app

  • Click on Verify Code

  • 2FA is disabled
