What is a Time Interval?

Time interval is range of time, day and month that can be used within Motion to define when an application can be executed.

The time interval is referred to the Time Zone of your Motion Server machine.

This section covers topics related to managing intervals.

Create an interval

All intervals can be created under the Intervals Section in the Tools Menu:

The installation process generates two generic intervals (working time and holidays) that can be used (after customizing time and days) in order to manage the most common setting of an office work.

If you want to create a new Interval use the  button and enter a Name and Description.

When the Interval has been created you can set the parameters by editing it:

Go in the Intervals Section and add  a new interval subset:

Enter the name of the subinterval and select type of interval: Always or Custom.

If you select Custom, set Time Range, Week Days, Month Days and/or Months:

Remember that if you create an interval with Time Range 9:00-13:00, it also includes the minute 13:00:00 - 13:00:59.
This means that if you wish to close at 13:00, you need to set the interval to 09:00 - 12:59
